No I am not. I am a goddamn cashier. You know this, faceless marketing person. I helped an unhappy customer that thinks that I am a genius handyman and also CEO of the company responsible for every decision made.
I’m really not that mad though, just some doofus in marketing typed this up. I also really wanted to use this clip. Only got ~9 more months of this shit.

Someone was paid to think that tag up. Probably paid well too. That’s irritating.
Be thankful you don’t work at a Menards.

WHAT DO YOU MEAN I CAN’T RETURN THIS POWERDRILL I FOUND AT THE BOTTOM OF A LAKE OZARK IN 76'.
I AM THE CUSTOMER.
Is this a correct description of your job?

You should actually start taking a dramatic bow every sale, and, if questions, explain that you were only following policy.
Or maybe don’t do that at all, could have negative consequences.

My favorite is how businesses no longer have employees. We’re all “associates” or “team members” now.

Any time I saw a job opening where the company was looking for a “rockstar,” I ran like hell. It’s never served me wrong.

When I worked retail 10 minutes of me explaining why I couldn’t fulfill that request would be followed by a manager over-riding me and doing everything you asked for.

Actually, you can return that drill. If you don’t have your receipt we will take your drivers license since you probably stole that drill.

I don’t have time for that, given our store runs with half the correct amount of staff.

Ehh, it’s all marketing. You want a ridiculous job title because it sounds better on a resume.

Let’s just say, certain people I know get paid more than me even though I am now technically more qualified from school, and they can’t do their job worth a damn and it drives me crazy.
I guess that will probably be the case once I get a real job though.

I think it’s so that we don’t feel as much like their bitch.

Sadly, that doesn’t go away. The Dilbert principle isn’t a joke.
